The Vermont Raptor Academy is now settled into its new location at the Bennington Center for the Arts and we're waiting for you to come and join us. Please check out the 2008 schedule.

As Floyd's seminar schedule is generally in great demand, he offers the additional option of learning from his DVDs, "Carving & Painting The American Kestrel."

You are welcome to use the following form to communicate your interests.

To reserve space, please indicate below the seminar and week of your choice. Submit the requested information along with a non-refundable deposit of $300.00, to be refunded in the event of cancellation only after the spot has been filled. All one-week sessions will be offered at $795.00 per week. The 10-day classes are $1,200.00. Lunches are included.

• Ornithology—Intensive bird studies
• Research and reference material
• Developing the patterns
• Rough shaping
• Feather groups and fine carving
• Burning and stoning techniques
• Layout of eyes and bill
• Full painting techniques, including airbrush
• Preparing birds for painting
• Color theory and use of washes
• Habitat
